Welcome to EDL's Website!

We are proud to launch Electricté du Liban's first website ever, a step which  fits within EDL management's comprehensive turnaround plan for the Lebanese public power utility. In fact, EDL's management has been persistently implementing this plan since it came to office in 2002, and has been able to accomplish major achievements such as increasing EDL's annual income by more than 50%, decreasing annual expenses by 20%, drastically increasing power supply to all Lebanese regions, and carrying out a large number of steps aimed at streamlining and automating administrative procedures.

 

One of the tenets of EDL management's approach has been its strong commitment to improved customer care and to offering its customers the best possible service in a fast, courteous, and transparent manner. In this context, several initiatives were carried out by EDL's management such as launching the "1707" Customer Service Call Center that can be reached from any regular or cellular phone line by dialling 1707, rehabilitating the Customers Hall located in EDL's headquarters, and undertaking a media relations campaign including the distribution of pamphlets and brochures related to the services offered by EDL to improve customer relations.

 

This website has been entirely designed by EDL staff and we have tried to make it as informative, helpful, and interesting as possible. The website includes several sections among which a "Customer Service" section mainly geared to our subscribers and a "Business Opportunities" section advertising the various bids open to eligible firms. The site also features a "News board" section where the latest news about EDL can be found. 

 

Since the website represents the first of its kind for the Lebanese power utility, we would welcome and appreciate your comments and feedback in order to improve it and adapt it more to your needs. We encourage you to visit our site regularly and to stay on the lookout for frequent additions and updates.
